Quick post here as a question to anyone who is reading this:
Are there any good writing prompt communities out there? Or drawing/art prompt communities for that matter.
I realize that I do really well with prompts. It won't often occur to me to write or draw anything out of the blue, but I think it would be cool if I joined a community that provides prompts every so often. I'll keep looking, myself. I feel like it's been hard to find one that isn't fandom specific or just drabble prompts, but I haven't spent that much time looking yet. Just thought I'd ask. :>

does side7 do prompts/challenges like that often? maybe i'll join it anyhow, might help to be part of an art community (that isnt DA, DA is unusable these days, seems like). and forums sound nice. it's been a while since i've used a forum and the memories are fond!

1. grab a thesaurus or dictionary, open a random page,
2. close your eyes point somewhere on the page: this is your random word!
Write or art about that word. Or collect several words and use all of them.
(Or use a random word generator to get a random word, like this one: https://wordcounter.net/random-word-generator)
I used to do a lot of drabble writing using that method (true drabbles of exactly 100 words), and it was always inspiring and challenging.
